Traditional seating styles flatten the spine into a position that is unnatural. This seating posture also places tremendous stress on the back, neck, and shoulders, when leaning forward or reaching to perform nearly any task. This stress can lead to painful damage to the spine and muscles surrounding it.
Designed to reproduce the natural curvature and stacking of the spine seen in our normal standing position, Bambach saddle seats have been carefully designed and molded to support the pelvis in an upright position. This allows the spine to fall into perfect alignment while finding a naturally balanced posture. The body is fully, and correctly, supported in a position that allows for maximum mobility while tasking.
The Bambach saddle seat has become very popular in the health care field. Dentists, surgeons, imaging technicians, etc., all find the chair an integral tool in performing detailed tasks while working over a fixed, specific area. Available in a wide variety of upholsteries and colors, the Bambach saddle seat can be customized for any workstation with durable fabrics or surgical vinyl.
The Bambach Saddle Seat ships standard with a 24" black nylon base. This base can be upgraded to polished aluminum. All pneumatic lifts will match the color of the base. All chairs specified with a foot ring will have a slightly larger base (26" for polished aluminum and 27" for nylon).

Bambach Saddle Seats use a pneumatic seat height adjustment to accommodate users and work stations of varying heights.
The low lift adjusts the seat height from 18.5" -23.5".
The standard height lift will adjust the seat from 22.5" - 30".
Tall cylinders adjust seat from 25" - 35".
The optional foot ring gives users an additional position for foot placement and will allow the pelvis and spine to remain in an upright and neutral position while working at higher tables or adjustable desks.
A paddle height adjustment is standard on Bambach Saddle Seats. This is the traditional lever found on most chairs and is located just under the seat pan. A surgeon's foot control is also available to control the seat height. This is ideal for use in sterile environments and clinics.
