The Element Disc LED light by Humanscale
Ships in about 8-12 business days.
Inside and out, the Element Disc LED light is revolutionary. The striking slim profile of the lamp head is sure to become iconic among Humanscale’s already impressive product line. With a built-in dimmer and occupancy sensor, the Element Disc LED task lamp is one of the most user-friendly and versatile lamps available today. As seen on Humanscale’s incredibly popular Horizon LED lamp, the Element Disc features Thin Film LED Technology for a glare-free and incredibly wide light footprint. And of course, the light only produces one shadow, leaving your work in focus.
The key to task lighting is maximum adjustability and function with minimal effort. The arm reach on the Element Disc is an impressive 28” with an 18” work height and fingertip adjustability. Simply fold the lamp away when it’s not in use.
Humanscale’s commitment to sustainability and environmental friendliness is on display with the Element Disc. The built-in motion sensor saves energy without you having to lift a finger. What’s more, the lamp is made out of 61% recycled and 96% recyclable content. Even the packaging is 70% recycled materials.

Seeing the Light
Did you know that lighting accounts
for nearly half the energy used by commercial buildings? At that rate,
it’s no wonder the cost of powering an office building is so staggering.
Energy-efficient task lighting offers a solution. In addition to
providing an excellent source of ergonomic light, task lights can help
reduce energy use and costs. So not only can your employees work more
productively with better light, you can shrink your carbon footprint
while making a difference where it’s felt the most—on the bottom line.
Humanscale task lights use only LED and compact fluorescent (CFL)
light sources, which are far more cost- and energy-efficient than
comparable incandescent bulbs. CFLs use 25% of the energy of
incandescent bulbs and last up to 10 times longer, while the latest LEDs
use as little as 10% of the energy and last up to 60 times longer than
Single-source vs. Dual-source Lighting
Overhead lighting is one of the biggest culprits of energy
consumption. By placing energy-efficient task lights at every
workstation, overhead lighting levels can generally be reduced, slashing
energy use and costs. In fact, research has shown that a dual-source
lighting system can reduce energy consumption by as much as 67%. That
profound energy savings can reduce a building's overall energy use by as
much as 25%. Less energy for lighting means lower operating costs, not
to mention less pollution, and that's a benefit for everyone involved.
