Features of the NPS5000 series:
-Mid back for exceptional back and lumbar support (17" x 18").

Seat styles

Arm options
360o swivel arms are standard and all arm options have a height adjustment from 7" - 11".  The width adjustment can vary from 2" - 5" depending on the seat style selected.
Base

The 5000 series is standard with a 26" black nylon base.  This can be upgraded to a 26" polished aluminum base or a 27" brushed aluminum base.  A 28" black base is also available.


Memory foam upgrade

 A standard foam cushion is used in all Neutral Posture seating lines.  This can be upgraded to include the N-dulgent memory foam as well.  The N-dulgent memory foam forms to the user's body while seated and returns to its original shape with no weight in the chair.
Upholstery options

 Neutral Posture has a large selection of upholsteries available as N-stant quick ship options.  These upholsteries are indicated with the N-stant logo.  The factory lead time for these options is estimated at 5 business days.  All other options require about a 3-4 week lead time.  Please note that the 7th Heaven upholstery is not available for quick ship.  These options are also available as N-stant: N-Stead Faux Leather Black, Ultraleather Raven Wing(black), and Madras Premium Leather Black.
Back style

 The Neutral Posture NPS seating line is standard with a plastic outershell on the back.  This can be upgraded to a fully upholstered outerback.


Thoracic support

The thoracic support option is a thin cushion running vertically down the length of the back.  This is option is designed to provide support for the spinal column and reduce fatigue and relieve tension in the neck and shoulders.


Inflatable lumbar support

 The NPS chairs come standard with inflatable lumbar support.  This is an air pillow in the back that can be used to fine-tune lumbar firmness.

Cylinder options

The 4" cylinder is recommended for a standard height work surface and is standard on Neutral Posture seating.  A 4" cylinder will adjust from 17" to 21".  This is the measurement from the floor to the top of the seat cushion.  Several other cylinder heights are available for users and work surfaces of varying heights.  The 8" and 10" cylinders are also available in a "stool" version which includes a foot ring.

3" cylinder - seat height 16" - 19"
4" cylinder - seat height 17" - 21"
5" cylinder - seat height 18" - 23"
7" cylinder - seat height 20" - 27"
8" cylinder - seat height 22" - 30"
10" cylinder - seat height 24" - 34"
Casters

Black carpet casters are standard.  Hard surface casters are recommended for use on hardwood or tile floors.  Additional upgrades are non-rolling glides or chrome casters.  Braking casters are also available.  Brake/out casters resist rolling when there is no weight in the chair.  Brake/in casters resist rolling when there is weight in the chair.


Optional foot supports

Several optional foot rest accessories are available to further customize Neutral Posture chairs and provide alternative positioning for the lower body.  By varying the position of the feet and lower body throughout the day the user will improve circulation and reduce fatigue.  The promotion of movement and circulation leads to higher levels of energy and improved concentration.
